Den nye vrien på virkeligheten er et interessant utgangspunkt. Liker også hvordan Silvera beskriver to svært ulike personligheter fra ulike miljøer. Den er hyggelig og nytenkende (med tanke på måten de får vite om døden). Men likevel vil jeg påstå at boka blir noe kjedelig. Selv om boka tar opp temaer som blant annet død, kjærlighet (fellesskap) og identitet , oppstår den som forutsigbar og uten stemninger. På grunn av den «lette» måten boka er skrevet på, blir den alt i alt noe grå. Det trenger ikke være galt å skrive enkelt. Et godt eksempel på en som gjør det, men likevel briljerer, er Erlend Loe. Silvera kunne lært litt av han når det gjelder å gi leseren følelser og tanker basert på ord alle kan forstå. I prinsippet skal den også skape triste følelser, men romanen klarer ikke skape det for meg. Jeg ser hvordan den skal være trist, men jeg klarer ikke leve meg godt nok inn i boka slik at jeg faktisk kjenner på det. Knausgård er mester på det, men der er jo målet med bøkene annerle

Truly a masterpiece. It makes you want to actually live, and at the same time it gives you this crazy cocktail of unbelievable feelings. To say that I cried more than once is a understatement.
